Lafayette Anticipations presents a group exhibition entitled Au-delà, from February 15 to May 7, 2023. A retrospective featuring 20 artists, it focuses on "the relationships we build with the living", rituals celebrating "the happy rebirth of a wounded world".

Attention contemporary art lovers! Lafayette Anticipations invites you to discover its latest exhibition, Au-delà, from February 15 to May 7, 2023. A group show, to be more precise, bringing together some twenty artists and transforming the premises for the occasion into"a journey through the relationships we build with the living: through gestures, ways of being and ceremonies that celebrate wonder and awe, while dialoguing with the mysteries and powers of the Earth".

A retrospective combining visual and performing arts, seeking"a way out by exhibiting rituals through which it is possible to reach other states of consciousness, to access transcendence and transformation" and celebrating"the happy rebirth of a battered world". Above and beyond this, the exhibition is also about the continual renewal of art in its form, its living expression, its image and its information. A veritable"choreographed ritual", visitors experience a"moment conducive to meditation" through the music played, and certain works are transformed into "totems", taking part in the ritual, whether they be"divinities or ceremonial objects interested in the enigma of life".

The exhibition is divided into three parts. The first opens with"a ritual scene blending the sacred and the profane, the ancient and the contemporary". The second questions"the very essence of transcendence and metamorphosis - the fine line between life and death, the cyclical nature of all existence", while the third part focuses on the power of the spirit, collective rebirth, dance and the"new sacred". The artists featured include Alicia Adamerovich, Bianca Bondi, Wifredo Lam, Ana Mendieta, Tarwuk, Anna Zemánková, Hildegard von Bingen, Romeo Castellucci, Eva Hesse and Michèle Lamy, among others. A must-see exhibition for all contemporary art lovers!
