Just in time for the summer vacations, the Cité des Sciences et de l' Industrie is inaugurating its brand new exhibition for young visitors from July 2, 2024, to June 28, 2026, focusing on a universal theme: dance. From flamenco to classical dance, salsa, contemporary, waltz and other traditional dances, dance is an integral part of the culture of every country and every region of the world.
Dance is an art form in its own right, a means of expression that expresses everything through gestures. It's as unifying as it is diverse: for this unique exhibition, the Cité des Sciences invites you to put your body in motion, so that you too can learn to express yourself through dance.
Designed around an unusual visitor experience, the Danser exhibition invites you to set your body in motion during a collective dance moment. Using devices designed in collaboration with dancers and choreographers, you are now the king or queen of the dancefloor! Jumping, turning, walking, meeting and landing: the exhibition is divided into five parts, with a grand finale ball on the program!
Connect to your body, its movements and the space around you with these intuitive gestures, which connect us at every age. Yes, dance is a science, but it's also an art and a fun activity that lets us share beautiful moments with others.
The exhibition is designed for children aged 4 to 8, but of course you can also bring the whole family. So, shall we go dancing at the Cité des Sciences from July onwards?
