In 2024, the Olympic year, sport and art are sure to come together. As part of a charity project, sixteen great French champions have agreed to turn the objects that marked and accompanied them during their careers into works of art, magnified by Yves Klein's mythical Bleu. These will be on display from June 18 to July 26, 2024 at Artcurial, the auction house on the Champs-Elysées, before being offered at auction.
Our Bleus have a big heart, as the profits raised will be donated to the"Le Sport a du Coeur" association, which helps to combat social precarity, fight against inequality of access to sport and help athletes in difficulty. From Brahim Asloum's pair of boxing gloves to Tony Estanguet's helmet, from Teddy Riner's black belt to Zinédine Zidane's jersey, these blue-tinted objects are full of history and emotion.
Before becoming a world-renowned artist, the late Yves Klein was a top-level judo athlete! Not everyone will be able to buy these works created with the support of the Yves Klein archives, as they will cost at least 5,000 euros to own and proudly display in their living rooms at a charity event on July 1.
