A weekend of free martial arts activities at the Musée Guimet

On Saturday June 15 and Sunday June 16, 2024, the Musée Guimet is going into sports mode, offering two days of events and tours focusing on Asia's best-known sporting discipline: martial arts.

With the Olympic and Paralympic Games just around the corner, the Musée Guimet invites you to discover one of the most widely practiced sporting disciplines in Asia. From Qi gong to taekwondo and kung fu, discover martial arts with your family over two days of unique activities.

What's on the program? Screenings, guided tours of the museum's collections, martial arts demonstrations and performances, inviting you to move, discover and experience the works in a different way, from an early age.

On the program:

A free invitation to practice Qi gong in the heart of the museum's collections

  • When? Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m., 11.30 a.m., 12 p.m. and 12.30 p.m.

The body in motion, guided tours of the permanent collections

  • When? Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm and 4pm, duration 1h15

Choreographic performance with Yan Allegret

  • When? Sunday June 16th at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm

  • When ? Sunday, June 16, 4.15pm, ages 10 and up

The good news is that all events are free for all, and no reservations are necessary. All you have to do is buy your admission ticket to the museum, which costs €13 (full price for adults), and children under 18 are free.
