Nocturne n°2 Kelly / Matisse: exhibitions, DJ set and manual workshop at the Fondation Louis Vuitton

Discover art in a different way and immerse yourself in the world of great artists, that's what the Fondation Louis Vuitton is offering us this July 5, 2024, on the occasion of a second festive and atypical nocturne.

Lovers ofcontemporary art and culture are no doubt familiar with the Fondation Louis Vuitton, located right next to the Jardin d'Acclimatation. And above all, they're familiar with the house's habits: for each exhibition, the art foundation offers musical evenings, to enable the public to discover the artists and works on show in a different way.

This time, not one, but two exhibitions are on view at the Fondation. Henri Matisse and Ellsworth Kelly share the bill, for twice the pleasure.

Formes et couleurs, a tribute to Ellsworth Kelly at the Fondation Louis Vuitton

In keeping with this much-loved tradition, the Fondation Louis Vuitton invites us to take part in a second very special nocturne, around the exhibitions Ellsworth Kelly, formes et couleurs, and Matisse, l'atelier rouge. This Friday, July 5, 2024, from 7pm, visitors can admire the works brought together at the foundation, and enjoy the musical and artistic program that makes this evening so unique.

Explore the "Matisse, L'Atelier rouge" exhibition, devoted to the genesis and history of this 1911 masterpiece. Guided by cultural mediators, discover the paintings, sculptures and decorative objects it contains, reunited for the first time since they left Henri Matisse's studio in Issy-les-Moulineaux.

Before or after visiting the exhibition, like Henri Matisse, experiment with the collage technique. Illustrator Mélanie Alpach offers you a range of shapes from the artist's universe to combine, cross-reference and assemble, to create your own interpretation of his works.

Originally from Paris, now based in Lisbon, DVDE is the boss of the solid House Of Underground and Operation Madness records labels, which have released such electronic music heavyweights as Boo Williams, Scan 7, Detroit's Filthiest, Byron the Aquarius and recently DMX Krew. Resident DJ at Le Badaboum (Paris) and on Rinse France, DVDE has established himself as one of the benchmarks of the new generation of DJs and as one of the artists to watch closely, sailing between the grooves of disco, Detroit House, acid-house and electro.
Audrey Danza - DJ set

Swiss DJ Audrey Danza is always on the lookout for powerful sounds and new mixing techniques: as eclectic as she is energetic, her selection is made up of tracks mixing trance, tribal percussion, italo disco, industrial beats and techno - always with the desire to take her audience into unknown and cosmic spaces.

To celebrate summer on the terraces, Onda, the small Brazilian street food counter set up in the Marais, is bringing the sunshine to the dishes. On the menu are bowls featuring Salvador de Bahia specialties: rice, black beans, avocado, chili pickles, tomatoes and shredded frango. And for dessert, a fresh maracuja mousse. At the bar, the flavours and colors are matched by tropical juices, lemonade, craft lager and cocktails and sparkling cocktails.
