The Palais de Tokyo hosts "Praesentia", a retrospective of the work of artist Myriam Mihindou, from October 17, 2024 to January 5, 2025. Through twenty years of creations, this exhibition explores themes linked to spirituality, memory and politics, while offering a reflection on minoritized narratives and collective healing.

Attention contemporary art lovers! The Palais de Tokyo invites you to discover one of its autumn exhibitions, Praesentia, based on the work of artist Myriam Mihindou, from October 17, 2024 to January 5, 2025. This exhibition, which unveils twenty years of work, explores presence, power and protection through works that are as spiritual as they are political. An immersive experience not to be missed, where art becomes a vehicle for collective healing and societal questioning.

Theexhibition aims to revisit dominant narratives through their margins, giving voice and visibility to bodies, practices and imaginaries that have long been marginalized. Myriam Mihindou is a multi-talented, multi-disciplinary artist - sculpture, installation, drawing, video, performance - who draws on themes as varied as identity, memory, spirituality and ecology. Her approach, deeply rooted in physical empathy and ritual, is both artistic and healing. It is a reflection on individual and collective wounds, whether linked to forms of subjugation or domination.

Praesentia is produced in collaboration with Crac Occitanie in Sète, where the exhibition will travel from February 7 to May 4, 2025. This partnership extends the visibility of the artist's works, encouraging their circulation among a diverse public. It's a way of anchoring Myriam Mihindou 's work firmly in the contemporary artistic landscape, while highlighting her role in healing memories and minoritized identities.

In this exhibition, Myriam Mihindou, who has already taken part in international biennales, once again establishes herself as a major voice incontemporary art, embodying a dialogue between the body, spirituality and politics. All you have to do now is discover her work!
