Attention contemporary art lovers! The Palais de Tokyo awaits you from Wednesday to Monday to delight you with its beautiful contemporary art exhibitions. Located at 13, avenue du Président Wilson in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, the museum stands out as one of the most dynamic contemporary art centers in the French capital. Open from midday to midnight, this emblematic venue attracts visitors from all over the world, seducing them with its innovative approach and daring exhibitions.

The Palais de Tokyo, originally known as the Palais des Musées d'Art Moderne, was built for the 1937 International Exhibition. Its history has been marked by significant transformations. In 1978, it became home to the Musée d'Art et d'Essais and, later, the Centre National de la Photographie. In 1999, the Palais de Tokyo was dedicated to contemporary art, followed by the opening of the site de création contemporaine in January 2002, marking a new era in its rich history.

Palais de Tokyo opening hours:

  • 12h-22h : Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • 12h-00h : Thursday.
  • Tuesday: The Palais de Tokyo is closed to the public.

Annual closing on January 1, May 1 and December 25.
Exceptional closing at 6pm on December 24 and 31.

How to get to the Palais :

  • RER C: Line C "Pont de l'Alma" station
  • Metro: "Iéna" station on line 9.
  • Bus: Lines 32, 42, 63, 72, 80, 82 or 92
  • Parking and electric charging stations nearby

Prices and reservations :

To avoid queuing and long waits, reservations are recommended. Visit the museum website to reserve your tickets. Full price: 12 euros; reduced price: 9 euros. For an unforgettable visit to the heart of contemporary art, this beautiful museum is a destination not to be missed during your stay in Paris.

Free admission is offered to disabled visitors and their carers, as well as to under-18s, jobseekers and other categories specified on the museum's official website. Guided tours in French sign language are organized on a regular basis, and the museum's website features a document facilitating access and understanding for visitors with disabilities.
