Alma de Beir's Much Loved exhibition: photos transformed into futuristic watercolors

Attention all lovers of watercolor painting! Artist Alma de Beir is exhibiting her watercolor series Much Loved at Galerie Sobering, 87 Rue de Turenne, 3rd arrondissement, Paris. From December 12 to 15, the artist invites you to discover her world free of charge, notably at the opening reception on Thursday December 12.

Much Loved is an exhibition that celebrates the tender moments that unite human beings, be they friends, family or lovers. To broaden her personal vision of intimate bonds, Alma de Beir invited people to share with her photos illustrating relationships that are precious to them. These images, rich in gestures of affection, inspired a series of watercolors in which the protagonists are immersed in a universe with science-fiction overtones.

This series of humanoids explores a reinvented humanity, transcending particularities, faces and histories. Through these pairs, photographed and then painted in watercolor, she imagines their flaws, their strengths and the elements that envelop them on imaginary, faraway planets.
