To mark the Journées nationales de l'architecture, visit the historic Terminal 1 at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport on Friday, October 18, 2024.

With over 67 million visitors a year,Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle is France's largest airport. Its creation was decided in 1964, but it was only 10 years later that the first terminal building was inaugurated. Since then, Roissy airport has expanded and evolved.

Welcoming thousands of travelers every day, moving not only pedestrians but also aircraft, cars and buses, ensuring connections with nearby towns and cities, providing pleasant spaces for users... Building and designing an airport involves many challenges. The architects of Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle have risen to this monumental challenge, which we can discover in greater detail today.

To tell us more about this exceptional project and the history of the airport, the site is offering a series of unique tours.
