Welcome to Ferme de Viltain! Nestled in the heart of the Saclay plateau, in the Yvelines department, this is a dairy farm that produces its own dairy products: yoghurts, cheeses, farmhouse cow's milk, fromage frais... Shop at the Farm's market : short circuits and committed products guaranteed!
In June, it's here that strawberries are picked, right from the strawberry field. In September and October, it's apples' turn to be picked by budding farmers! During the picking period, the farm's kitchen garden is shown to you, and then you are shown how to grow strawberries and apples. Afterwards, each child can pick 500g of strawberries or 5 apples (depending on the season) and leave with a coloring booklet and a gift voucher for a kilo of strawberries or 5 apples, to be picked later. The cost is €4.50 per child, and the visit, including harvesting time, lasts between 1h15 and 1h30.
The rest of the year, the farm welcomes you with open arms to take a behind-the-scenes look at the milking parlour and calf barns (every day of the year, from 9am to 7pm): if you arrive between 3:30pm and 5:30pm, you can even watch the cows being milked live! If you prefer a guided tour with the farm's professionals, they take place every Wednesday (February to mid-November) at 3pm, and every Sunday (April, May, June and September) at 11am, 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
