La Fête du Miel, at the Parc Georges-Valbon in La Courneuve (93), this Sunday, September 3, 2023

Honey in Île-de-France? Yes, there is such a thing, and it's a product that we're celebrating at the Parc Georges-Valbon in La Courneuve on Sunday, September 3, 2023, from 2pm to 6pm, at the Maison Edouard-Glissant. It's a chance for young and old to discover the park's beehives, and learn all about honey increative workshops and mini-conferences.

First of all, the Fête du Miel Gourmand Village opens its doors to you, with many activities to try out: making natural cosmetics with honey, making jams, henna tattooing, smoothie bikes, vegetable dye workshops, distillation workshops with the park's lavender, seedling and flower bar and flower tasting... And let's not forget the parade of sheep from the Clinamen association, raised in the Parc Georges-Valbon throughout the year, as well as wool-spinning demonstrations.

As part of the Fête du Miel 2023, volunteers from the Société Centrale d'Apiculture (SCA) are organizing short half-hour lectures on the life cycle of bees (at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm), giving you a real insight into these little creatures that are essential to our biodiversity. Then, if you wish, you can discover the park's apiaries on guided tours accompanied by a beekeeper! Please note: bring pants, closed-toe shoes and loose-fitting clothing for this tour.
