Head to Suresnes for another Fête de la Vigne. Taking place over the weekend of September 30-October 1, 2023, this festival will honor not only Suresnes wine, but also art, through the talent of the famous botanical painter, Pierre-Joseph Redouté.
On the program for the festive weekend:
A special focus on Pierre-Joseph Redouté. An exhibition dedicated to his works, mainly his floral watercolors, is set up. Ahead of the Fête de la Vigne, there will also be a conference-debate on "Les Raisins de Redouté" (Redouté's Grapes ) on September 27, focusing on the first census of grape varieties, thanks to Joseph Redouté's vellum prints.
The Suresnes vineyard offers a breathtaking view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower. Covering one hectare, it produces an average of 4,500 bottles a year. After obtaining the Côteaux de Suresnes-Mont-Valérien PGI in 2020, this vineyard aspires to be a pillar of wine in the Île-de-France region. The Fête de la Vigne and the "Les Raisins de Redouté" exhibition bear witness to this cultural and viticultural ambition.
