In summer, Janvry isn't just a typical Hurepoix village in Essonne, it's transformed into an exotic destination thanks to "Janvry Plage". For 25 years now, long before the advent of the "Paris plage" concept, Janvry has been transforming part of its area into a veritable summer paradise, an oasis of happiness in the middle of the countryside, complete with beach and swimming facilities.

In July and August,Janvry-Plage offers a unique summer break in the heart of the Chevreuse Valley countryside. Located in the charming village of Janvry, this artificial beach offers a variety of activities for all ages, from inflatable pools to barbecues with live music. This year, sports classes will also be offered after the pool closes. Mayor Christian Schoettl shares his vision of this family-friendly event. Janvry Plage is open all summer for everyone to enjoy.

Right in the heart of the Hurepoix region, Janvry-Plage boasts a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. With 190 tons of sand, coconut and palm trees, and a huge inflatable pool, you'll find yourself transported to a little corner of paradise. The activities on offer are varied: ping-pong tables, a bar serving refreshments, and of course, the fortnightly barbecue evenings, offering a musical and convivial atmosphere. The next barbecue evening will take place on Saturday July 13, a date not to be missed.

Access to the pool is by membership of the Comité des fêtes, at the modest price of 5 euros for the whole season. Opening hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with swimming closing at 6.30 p.m. Please note that children under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

In addition to its beach activities, Janvry-Plage is also committed to important causes. This summer, we'll be organizing events to raise awareness of the fight against cancer. It's a clear sign that this event goes beyond mere relaxation and aims to make a positive contribution to the community.

Located along the rue du Bois de Montmarre, this park offers a play area for children and picnic tables, all in a verdant setting. The park is home to around a hundred animals, and is often visited by schoolchildren and leisure centers.
