For lovers of beekeeping and agriculture in all its forms, the town of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine has its own apiary, located in the heart of the Parc des Docks. The apiary is managed by theAssociation du Rucher Audonien Pédagogique, and in January 2025, the association will be offering an introduction to beekeeping - literally, the cultivation of bees to produce honey - at Serre Wangari, the Maison de l'écologie et de la nature en ville, located in the Parc des Docks.
This Saturday, January 25, 2025, come and discover how founding queens trap Asian hornets, a scourge that kills bees and invades hives. This is an opportunity to discover how a beehive works, but above all, what such an installation looks like from the inside: how bees organize themselves to produce honey or, in the case of this workshop, to protect themselves from potential aggressors.
