Three years after the opening of Umami Matcha Café, the first spot in Paris entirely dedicated to matcha green tea, the Umami team is opening a second establishment. This news should delight tea lovers!
Called Matcha Café To Go, this second spot opens its doors in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. The co-founders, Laure and Jean Béguin, have imagined a place that rethinks the 'food to go' offer, in order to extend the art of Japanese dining.
So the coffee shop spirit is declined here in a take-away version; but of course: always around matcha! On the menu, gourmands and gourmets will be able to discover a new offer of bento boxes (consigned, a good point for the environment!).
There is a choice of vegetarian, chicken or poké bowl versions, which can be accompanied by a quinoa salad, a konjac salad or the traditional miso soup .
To finish on a sweet note, we find the must-eats of Umami Matcha Café: lemon yuzu meringue pie, matcha cookie and matcha cheesecake to be enjoyed with a specialty coffee or a matcha latte.
And before leaving, we take a look at the delicatessen corner, to bring back a lot of good Japanese products at home!
