Ultra-chic bistro atmosphere, covered terrace, bistro seating, open kitchen where you can watch your brunch being prepared... Pavyllon is definitely true to the spirit of the Parisian bistro so dear to chef Yannick Alléno's heart, a place for sharing, conviviality, good food and good times.
The menu features a parade of sweet and savoury dishes, for a Sunday brunch of course, but above all, a real "long-lasting" culinary experience with a meal that lasts several hours, the time to savour (your Sunday as well as your meal). Start with homemade viennoiseries and breads, served while still warm with spreads and jams made on site, farmhouse semi-salted butter, freshly squeezed orange juice, hot drinks... Or, if you prefer, a glass of champagne (extra charge).
Then come the savoury dishes, 5 in all, combining hot and cold plates: of particular note is the excellent Colonnata bacon omelette, drool-worthy and served with its pecorino emulsion and fresh mushrooms, the delicious hot gougère revisited as a mini-sandwich with very thinly sliced white Paris ham, served with a comté béchamel cream and a hint of grated nutmeg... Or the sole quenelles au gratin (sole cookies on the menu), served in their thick yellow wine sauce with perfectly seasoned cockles, the well-cooked cold chicken and its lovage mayonnaise...
In keeping with the bistro spirit, it's the chefs or sous-chefs in the kitchen who sometimes bring you the dishes, explaining the seasoning, the origin of the products... in fact, if the service isn't too full, you'll have the opportunity to chat with them from time to time, which adds real added value to your brunch, especially if you're seated at the counter. At Pavyllon, you don't just eat the food, you share it, you experience it.
Then it's time for desserts, which are served all together: among them, the house specialty, the crêpe soufflée with dark chocolate and delicately caramelized hazelnuts, the orange salad with cinnamon for a touch of freshness and the bricelet garni, a crispy wafer topped with stracciatella ice cream, chantilly and homemade salted butter caramel. This star-rated brunch is experienced as a long family meal, to enjoy the finesse of the dishes, but above all to get together and take your time. Expect to pay €145 per adult, excluding mineral water and alcoholic beverages, and €56 per child, with a main course and dessert included for younger children.
