A pillar of the rue de Charonne for many years, the Michelin-starred restaurant Septime has been delighting gourmands and gourmets from Paris and beyond, without ever failing in its mission.
In 2021, Bertrand Grébaut and Théo Pourriat, at the head of Septime but also of Clamato, are embarking on a new adventure: the Tapestry. Well, not exactly. We'll stop you right there: no, you won't be able to call on this amazing duo to reupholster your apartment...
On the other hand, the chef Bertrand Grébaut and his partner Théo Pourriat are opening Tapisserie, a clever anagram of pastry shop, as you may have guessed! We discover a pastry shop that offers sweets at very precise times because there is only one oven and therefore each batch is made by time slot. A slot to follow to have your pastries fresh and perfect.
Located not far from Septime, at 65 rue de Charonne, the new pastry shop Tapisserie unveils in the window a multitude of good things but with a limited menu and it's so much better: cakes, pastries, seasonal fruit tarts, sugar tarts, chocolate, lemon or bourdaloue tarts, creamy flan, kouign amann...
We fall for the famous fragrant flouve cabbage, this field weed which gives a particular taste to the cream. We also love the Clamatarte, a maple syrup and whipped cream tartlet without sugar, just divine, signature of the restaurant Clamato.
In short, we loved it and we highly recommend this new Parisian pastry shop. Note that you can also always fall for Septime's good food, available, at the moment, to take away!
