As we've already mentioned, the five-star Les Jardins du Faubourg hotel in the 8th arrondissement of Paris recently opened a new Italian restaurant, Il Giardino , headed up by Chef Davide Pecorella, who has worked in prestigious establishments such as Georges and Georges V.
For its Sunday brunch, from 12pm to 3pm, the house is now offering us the chance to go Italian. Under the beautiful, luminous glass roof or on the heated terrace with its plaid, you'll be seduced by all the dishes and delicacies on offer.
Food lovers and gourmets are well served by the generous selection on offer. The à la carte menu includes sweet and savoury buffets, accompanied by freshly squeezed homemade juices and hot drinks. Brunch, at €79 for adults and €45 for children, offers a fine range of pastries, pancakes and waffles.
On the savory side, the restaurant unveils a fine selection of mixed salads with a hint of Italy, veal carpaccio with vitelo tonnato sauce and Italian cheeses.
Hot fish and meat dishes in small portions are also served every Sunday to round off the fifteen or so dishes on offer. When we visited, it was squash risotto and fish with cabbage.
The menu includes eggs prepared to your liking (scrambled, fried, poached, omelette, soft-boiled and accompanied by sausage, bacon, cheese, mushrooms, onions and so on).
For sweet treats, gourmets can choose from fruit, Tropezian tarts and other sweets imagined by the Chef. But there's also a selection of brochettes topped with melted chocolate.
So, why not treat yourself to a nice brunch this Sunday in a green setting?
