Looking for a good boulangerie-pâtisserie in Paris's 11th arrondissement? There's no shortage of good bakeries, and new ones are opening all the time, like Pépite, which we went to discover. Opened just 3 months ago, this gourmet spot has what it takes to seduce.
CHAUD DEVANT
Bargain alert! Last year, Pépite celebrated the black croissant at a very low price, but on Saturday, April 5, 2025, the bakery is offering its share of Azuki flan for just €2, all day long, so that as many gourmets as possible can discover this little marvel!
Pépite is the story ofAlice Lin, who has always had a particular taste for pastry-making. Coming from a traditional Chinese family, her desire to work in this field was frowned upon. Once she had settled down with her husband, she finally decided to give free rein to her passion. After training at Le Cordon Bleu and obtaining a CAP Pâtisserie in 2018, she worked at Le Meurice, at Anne Sophie Pic and then at Boulangerie l'Essentiel , where her savoir-faire and gourmet credentials are second to none.
The Pépite bakery 's mission is to re-enchant your daily life, which I think is a good one. A little happiness and pleasure every day, joy and moments of sharing, that's what this new gourmet spot wants to distill for us. To achieve this, it's up to us to find the French specialties we love, 100% artisanal of course.
At Pépite, PDO products, seasonal produce and short supply chains are the order of the day, with an eco-responsible approach. The flours used are local, from a mill based in Ile-de-France. A range is specially designed for children in adapted formats.
So, what's for lunch at this bakery and patisserie? Good artisan breads, croissants, pain au chocolat and other generous rolls. Lovers of flan and apple tarts will be delighted.
Among the creations, we like the gourmet Pépi-Choc tartlet and the vanilla-pecan tartlet. The curious can delight in a surprisingly delicious pink grapefruit pavlova, while traditionalists can opt for the famous Paris-Brest, which couldn't be more gourmet.
The place is quite spacious and includes a tea room along the window, where you can sit back and enjoy your pastries and cakes, accompanied by a good cup of coffee. On sunny days, a lovely terrace opens up in front. At the corner of Boulevard Voltaire and rue Léon Frot, the bakery offers a beautiful space in which to relax.
As for prices, expect to pay €1.30 for a plump croissant and around €5 for creative pastries. In short, why not treat yourself to a generous, gourmet treat at a new in-house bakery ?
