Head for Bonne Nouvelle, rue Mulhouse in the 2nd arrondissement, to discover Atti Café, a Koreancoffee shop with original specialties.
On site, you'll discover a charming 2-storey tea room with a zen, uncluttered decor. Upstairs, you'll find a cosy lounge with low, quilted seats. Ideal for catching up with friends, chatting and even surfing the web or teleworking, as the place is equipped with free wifi.
At Atti Café, you'll find hot and cold drinks and original lattes with a Korean touch. You'll be seduced by the smooth Marron latte and the Yakgwa latte with roasted hazelnut, vanilla and cinnamon, topped with a traditional Korean cookie. On request, these lattes can be combined with cow's milk, oat milk or soy milk. We also like the original pumpkin-bean, sword bean, persimmon leaf and ginger infusions. However, you've got to love ginger, which awakens the taste buds.
To accompany these drinks, hot or cold, Atti Café offers a whole range of homemade tarts. Among the discoveries on our visit were the Yakgwa tartlet with walnuts and chestnut cream, cranberry-hazelnut, matcha, yuzu and black sesame. We liked the sugar balance and the crisp tart shells, all with flavors that are different from the ordinary.
As Korean as it gets, the house also offers the country's flagship dessert: Bingsu. You know, that popular dessert made with finely crushed ice cream and various gourmet toppings (fruit, cheesecake, matcha...). We tested the bingsu mango version with mango pieces, vanilla ice cream and mango sorbet, all topped with sweetened condensed milk. Refreshing, we gobbled it up in no time.
If you want to warm up with a good cup of coffee, a gourmet latte or even a homemade hot chocolate with good tarts or a generous bingsu, this address could be just what you're looking for. Open Tuesday to Friday from 8.30am to 7pm and weekends from 9am to 7pm.
