Sunday brunch at the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards under its magnificent glass roof

The Grands Boulevards hotel unveils its brunch every Sunday, with an all-you-can-eat sweet and savory buffet, hot drinks, juices and cocktails, to be enjoyed under the magnificent zenithal glass roof.

Not all brunches in Paris are created equal, but the brunch at theHôtel des Grands Boulevards is certainly one of those that makes you want to get up on a Sunday morning in January, with a smile on your face and a smile in your mouth. The location alone is worth the detour, with its magnificent glass roof under which to curl up, winter or summer, rain or shine.

Every Sunday from 12pm to 2.30pm, gangs of friends, families and lovers gather on the Grands Boulevards for this 42€ per person brunch. While the price may make some shudder, note that it's now rare to find brunch in the capital for less than 35€. But the price of the Grands Boulevards brunch is justified by the quality, quantity and diversity of the dishes on offer, both sweet and savory.

The brunch begins with a visit to the savory buffet, featuring a multitude of homemade preparations - arancini, roasted Brussels sprouts with citrus and croutons, bacon, focaccia, croque-monsieurs, Padron pimientos for hot dishes, pickled peppers, eggplant caviar, tsatziki, smoked salmon, beef carpaccio, oysters for connoisseurs, as well as the inevitable charcuterie and cheeses for cold dishes.

The sweet buffet includes mini-viennoiseries and breads topped with butter, jam or spread, lemon and walnut cakes, fresh fruit, muesli and small pastries. As for beverages, fresh fruit juices (orange, grapefruit, apple-kiwi) are the order of the day, as are a variety of hot beverages - coffees with all the trimmings, teas and infusions, regressive hot chocolate and even almond milk chai to fill you up. A cocktail or mocktail of the moment is also included in the price!

Then it's time for the hot dish, to choose from an egg dish; pancakes topped with maple syrup and accompanied by an airy chantilly; a vegetarian dish (on this day, a sort of mille-feuilles with seasonal vegetables) and a meat dish which, on our visit, was a tender, juicy poultry with Jerusalem artichokes chips and a delicate purée.

One thing's for sure: the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards brunch leaves you with a full belly, ready for a Sunday of quality!
