Italian brunch at A Braccetto, a quality, affordable fromule 2 steps from Luxembourg

Right across from the Jardin du Luxembourg, this is the place to be for office colleagues at lunchtime, students from nearby universities and lovers of fine Italian cuisine. On Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, A Braccetto offers, in addition to its regular menu, its own brunch, with classic late-night dishes revisited Italian-style.

On the menu, each person can order 3 plates: a mini pizza, to be chosen from the wide selection of Neapolitan pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven, a savory dish and a dessert, plus a drink (hot or pressed fruit juice). Here, the Avocado toast takes the form of a focaccia topped generously with parmesan, the octopus carpaccio is fresh with a combo of sweet and savory coulis and aromatic herbs, and the unmissable eggs benedict is served on focaccia toast, with grilled guanciale (pork cheek). Or you're spoilt for choice with some truly fine Italian specialties, such as truffle arancini.

For hot drinks, there's something for everyone, with a classic menu of coffees, infusions, teas (green, black) and signature drinks such as café crème pistache, Viennese coffees/chocolates or chocolate pistachio, for an additional €3 on the formula. When it comes to freshly squeezed fruit juices, the emphasis is on vitamins, with combos combining apple, cucumber and basil, orange, carrot and lemon, or apple/orange alone, also at an extra cost of €6.

Finally, on the sweet side, dessert is not to be outdone: this brunch features the classics, with a bowl of granola (homemade, please) served with fromage blanc and fresh seasonal fruit,excellent 72% chocolate mousse, pistachio crème brûlée and Italian pancakes or French toast, topped generously with pistachio cream, nutella, maple syrup and more. Brunch at A Braccetto is served every Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 12pm to 5pm.

This generous brunch formula costs €29 per person, with the option of reordering for €7 per additional plate or drinks. The brunch doesn't have a children's menu, but A Braccetto offers one every day: count €15 for a menu including dish, drink and dessert.

With impeccable (and very friendly) service, great portions and quality products, we can't recommend that you come to A Braccetto for brunch any time soon!
