It's no secret that several events dedicated to spirits take place in Paris every year. Following in the footsteps of Rhum Fest Paris and Whisky Live Paris, Viva Agave is back. The third edition of this festival of Mexican agave-based spirits returns to the capital on October 6 and 7, at the1K hotel and its secret bar La Mezcaleria.
For two days, all the richness of Mexican culture will be showcased through tastings, masterclasses and conferences on mezcal, tequila and raicilla, among others. An event that celebrates the culture, gastronomy and traditions surrounding agave, Mexico's emblematic plant.
The curious can learn more about the production process, thehistory of agave and its importance in Mexican culture, while meeting artisans and chefs. On the menu: 25 exhibitors, 60 brands and over 150 references of tequila, mezcal and other Mexican distillates - whisky, rum, sotol, gin. There's sure to be something to suit every taste!
Cocktail and taco tastings, lectures, masterclasses, a tequila cooking class, a mixology workshop, a photo exhibition and many other cultural activities are also planned. And don't forget theagavotheque, where you can buy spirits, and the Mi TienditaMexican grocery store, where you can pick up all kinds of Mexican products!
