Sunny days are back, and it is very hot in town… What a splendid occasion to go out for a picnic! And how perfect since Michelin-starred chef Antonin Bonnet from restaurant Quinsou is starting a new adventure and puts his starred-know-how in a new seasonal, indulging picnic basket available at Boucherie Grégoire.
It has been a year since the starred chef took over this historic butcher’s store on rue de l’Abbé Grégoire, a stone’s throw from his starred restaurant with the idea of making it an ethical butcher’s store.
Inside the picnic basket, you will find an assortment of fresh mixes salads depending on deliveries of seasonal vegetables (especially coming from James Edward Henry’s vegetable garden at the Doyenné), homemade hummus, burrata and zucchinis, pilau rice with vegetables, a slice of pâté en croute by Boucherie Grégoire, craft chips and fresh and organic fruits (selected by Trouvailles & Terroirs).
And to toast with friends on the freshly-mowed grass, half a bottle of Champagne Collet is to be found in the basket. A vintage with hints of white flowers, citrus fruits and spices leading to a lot of freshness on the palate. Cheers!
Baskets are to be ordered by calling +33 (0)1 42 22 58 41, and withdrawal on site only on Saturday. Allow €45 for the basket for 2!
