Bao Shelter, the new Asian burger - Definitely closed

Bao Shelter is the new fast-food fusion that revisits the burger. A family adventure that blends flavors from the four corners of Asia to delight the palate, just a stone's throw from the Grands Boulevards.

Last night we headed to the Grands Boulevards to try out Bao Shelter. This new restaurant opened last June and is a real family affair! Hélène, Frédéric, Céline and their parents hail from southern China and are already a family of restaurateurs. They love to travel and, of course, to eat, so they've brought back many exotic recipes and flavors in their suitcases. Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, China- you'll find the whole of Asia on your plate at Bao Shelter! As you'll have gathered, this is no traditional Chinese restaurant with shrimp egg rolls and golden dragons. The food, like the place, is in their image: young and modern," explains Céline.

And speaking of cuisine, what's on offer? Bao Shelter revisits the burger by replacing the traditional bun with a white brioche bun made with wheat flour and steamed, which is also used to make baozi, a kind of meat-filled brioche. As for the toppings, they oscillate between the classic burger and Asian flavors for an absolutely delicious result. In addition to the Bao Burger, the second house specialty is the Gua Bao, Taiwanese sandwiches made with the same brioche bun. Everything is homemade (including the buns) with ultra-fresh produce, and you can feel it!

For continuous novelty, the Bao Shelter team introduces a new recipe every two months, previously tested (and approved!) by friends. Right now, you'll find the Gyu Burger, a black bread recipe.

Here's a good reason to come back again and again to this little piece of Asia. Prices start at 15 euros for Gua Bao or Bao Burger + sweet potato fries or salad + soft drinks.

In a nutshell, the Bao Shelter is a true journey at the crossroads of Asian and Western cultures, and we'll be back without hesitation!
