Nostalgic for your vacations in Italy, here’s a new den that changes from pizzeria. Let me introduce you Pancia, the last-born of Paris restaurants. This brand-new restaurant is devoted to panzerotti, this kind of mini fried calzones from southern Italy.
Running Pancia, not a dickie (Italian) bird but three chefs coming straight from the prestigious gastronomy school, Ferrandi. Pancia was actually their final study project, they decided to carry out for real! And we must say that the result is very successful. From the decoration to the welcome without forgetting what’s in the plate, we feel like everything has been carefully thought up. Even the music is great, and we gladly discover that the playlist can be found on Pancia website, and we can even suggest our own tracks.
But let’s talk about the famous panzerotti, shall we? On the menu, seven recipes with tasty Italian products that go from €7 to €7.5. Cheese, cold cuts, as well as artichoke or marinated beef, there’s something for everyone! The biggest eaters will go for the two panica for €13.5 or accompany their panzerotti with potato fritters and smoked mozzarella (€6), while green lovers will rather go for the small yet sophisticated salads (parmesan, pear and walnuts or squash, parmesan and hazelnut) for €5. Please not that at lunchtime, Pancia offers menus for €9 (panica + soft) and €12.5 (panica + dessert or panica + side).
Very well-stuffed and fried like donuts, Pancia are clearly not our best friends if we are on a diet, but with their fresh ingredients and their 100% homemade recipes, they’re your taste buds’! In short, Pancia is (almost) flawless. Our only hesitation is the Nutella panica, that’s a bit too common. We only have to go back to taste the one with apples and salted butter caramel…
Anyway, Pancia is a breath of fresh air on Parisian street food, taste it is and adopt it.
