Gurü 's sunny terrace has been on our radar ever since it opened last June. This week, we finally pushed open the door of this new restaurant to let you discover what it's all about... And we weren't disappointed!
Seated in the dimly lit dining room, we peruse the menu. The cocktails, priced at 9€, are each more tempting than the last. In the end, we opted for a Samus Sling and a Qwatto's Liquor, two gin cocktails that are as beautiful as they are good, with the little extra that makes all the difference: a smoke comes out of them, like a magic potion!
After these beverages, we continue with a carpaccio of sea bream with mango (7.5€), followed by a magret of duck cooked to perfection and a filet of gurnard with coriander butter (16 and 16.5€). We marvel at the edible flower-covered presentation, lick our lips, feast our eyes and come back for more! We finish with a café gourmand for dessert, which admittedly isn't up to the same standard as the previous dishes. Nevertheless, we were delighted byGurü's warm welcome and bistronomic cuisine with light Asian influences.
Behind Le Gurü are two great friends. Guys so friendly they consider themselves brothers. With backgrounds in the restaurant business, and having worked in a variety of traditional restaurants and brasseries, the two friends wanted to go against the grain. "What makes us kiffer is making people kiffer!" one of them tells us. In short, at Le Gurü we eat well, we drink well and, above all, we're here to have a good time.
Le Gurü is the start of a great adventure that's not about to stop, as the two friends are planning to open a bar a stone's throw away to finish off the evening. To be continued...
