Those who have fallen under the spell of the bistronomic cuisine offered by the Miam restaurant in the 8th arrondissement now have a date in the 10th arrondissement to discover the new gourmet baby imagined by the duo Hugo Pinto and Alexandre Ney.
For this new venture, the two acolytes have decided to take up residence in the ever-changing Rue de Paradis, with its young and trendy bars and restaurants.
Nestled at No. 14 rue de Paradis, the name is apt, offering the neighborhood a new HQ for all lovers of creative, tasty and generous home-cooked dishes based on fresh, seasonal produce.
Adjacent to the famous Ours bar, 14 Paradis boasts an attractive storefront with large bay windows that let the light flood in on both levels of this resolutely modern establishment.
Whether navy or royal, customers are immersed in a warm, cosy atmosphere.
Connoisseurs will notice the reissued "mouche" sconces signed Pierre Chareau, the metalized staircase banister taken directly from the ocean liner Le France, and these photos by Slim Aarons.
The best part? This halo under which customers can take photos of themselves and think they're angels!
The friendly, smiling Alexandre Ney is in charge of the dining room, while talented chef Hugo Pinto is in charge of the kitchen. The story of these two friends and associates began when they were both working at the famous 5-star Pershing Hall hotel in Paris.
Having trained with Michel Troisgros at La Table du Lancaster, then moved on to a series of renowned establishments (Eiffel Tower restaurant with chef Alain Reix, Cyril Lignac's Quinzième where he became sous-chef), Hugo Pinto now officiates as Chef of his own establishment, offering a bistronomic style tinged with Mediterranean influences.
The tempting, eclectic and constantly evolving menu features 8 starters (from €11 to €14), 9 main courses (from €16 to €24) and 6 desserts (from €8 to €11).
As for starters, I'm tempted by several choices, such as the mini honey-roasted camembert with sucrine or the sea bream tartare with avruga pearls, but I'm finally tempted by the excellent crispy organic soft-boiled egg with korn flakes and peppers!

My sidekick opts for one of the restaurant's flagship dishes: the famous New Style salmon; sashimi cooked in sesame oil and flavored with lemon and coriander. An original, tangy starter the likes of which we'd love to see more of!
The tasting continues with, for my part, a signature dish, a perfectly cooked snacked tuna with its unctuous avocado cream and incredible vodka-lemon espuma. A real delight!

There's also this sweet-spiced pig's cheek stew with crushed carrots that's sure to please carnivores.
Other dishes include saddle of lamb or a fine sea bream with pumpkin and kumquat purée.
For vegetarians, opt for thevegetable platter concocted from market produce, and an Italian temptation with Penne with truffle cream.
Finally, you can't leave without succumbing to one of the 6 desserts on the à la carte menu.
We hesitate between the " brioche retrouvée ", a sophisticated version of pain-perdu with caramelized pears and salted butter caramel, or the " Mont Blanc Maison ", but we finally settle on the sensational cheesecake mousse with cherry sorbet, followed by the delicious and melting Guanaja 70% chocolate moelleux, baked to perfection, and pistachio ice cream. These two desserts really hit the spot!
What better way to end a sublime meal marked by the discovery of new flavors and still remembered by our taste buds!
Note that at lunchtime, customers are entitled to a more affordable formula with a €16 lunch menu including starter, main course and dessert, changing daily.
To accompany these succulent and aesthetically pleasing dishes, 14 Paradis boasts a fine wine cellar with a selection of natural wines.
Lovers of fine beverages will not be left out, thanks to a cocktail menu featuring great classics.
In short, to discover the succulent and creative cuisine of 14 Paradis, head urgently to the 10th!
