Nestled in the heart of the 14th arrondissement, in a little lost street, lies a discreet restaurant offering refined cuisine that's accessible to all budgets... Le Bistrot des Plantes offers simple, no-frills, but always tasty cuisine, with menus that change according to the season and the chef's mood. A little jewel of gastronomy.

Perhaps one of the most pleasant restaurants in the 14th arrondissement... For the past few months, Le Bistrot des Plantes has been delighting gourmets with a return to the roots of cuisine: seasonal produce, culinary discovery, showcasing the work of the kitchen staff... A way of rediscovering the fundamentals of French gastronomy and culinary savoir-faire in the truest sense of the word.

With its twenty or so covers, this little neighborhood bistro has a very cozy, "Montmartre" atmosphere, and is located in a very quiet, friendly spot, a little like a small village, far from the capital's main thoroughfares. Every day, a new menu is proposed, depending on what the chef finds at the market and his inspiration (a bit like the restaurant Les Résidents, which reinvents itself every six months). A cuisine that respects seasonal produce and quotas when the menu features seafood. And when it comes to wine, the sommelier knows perfectly well how to adapt to the menu, proposing vintages that are mostly organic and always complement the dishes chosen.

The idea? To put the spotlight on the catering profession as a whole, while bringing the art of the table to life and providing an enjoyable dining experience. It's as simple as that... As for the food, we were able to try out the menu of the day, and we rather liked it: for starters, confit leeks, razor clams, Granny Smith and horseradish cream; yellow chicken supreme, butternut and buckwheat for the main course, and kiwis, soursop siphon and cocoa sponge for dessert. In addition to the meticulous presentation, the dishes served are particularly good and seasoned to perfection. It's fresh and tasty, as any self-respecting cuisine should be. On the other hand, to enjoy a good meal in this establishment, reservations are essential. Shall we go, friends?

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
