Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus opens his first address in Paris, the Café Citron, at the brand-new Champs-Elysées Galeries Lafayette.

The inauguration of the Champs-Elysées Galeries Lafayette made a splash this week. 6500sqm dedicated to fashion and gastronomy including many caterers, pastry chefs and tasty products available in the delicatessen corners.

On the 1st floor of the Galeries, Café Citron comes and completes this food offer. At the origin of the project, designer Simon Porte Jacquemus who created everything, from furniture to the uniforms (white pants and spotless trainers) and of course, the menu put up by Caviar Kaspia.

Inside this new and bright café, lemon trees everywhere, ceramics, earthenware vases, raw materials… The south of France in Paris.

On the menu, we have Mediterranean specialties, from Provence to Greece without forgetting Corsica, Italy and Spain. Here the nice and seasonal product is given pride of place thanks to the friendship of artisans such as from the Boulangerie Sain by Anthony Courteille and farmers from the Vergers St Eustache.

For instance, you can enjoy marinated vegetables, sardines, tapenade, Corsican brocciu, as well as toasts and soft-boiled eggs. Dishes that are simple yet tasty.

Moving on to the sweet side, we’re happy with the flan flavored with pistachio from Sicily, the baba with salted butter caramel and thyme and the lemon-rosemary tartlet especially created by Stohrer, the calissons, nougats and fruit jellies by A La Mère de Famille or even Cédric Grolet’s irresistible trompe-l’oeil lemon.

The perfect place for a tasty break between two shopping sprees.
