For good, healthy food, head to Cité Fertile, Pantin's ephemeral wasteland, and more specifically to the café-cantine La Source. From Thursday to Sunday, this healthy spot offers gourmets responsible, short-run cuisine.
At La Source, the products used are ultra-fresh, sourced from small local producers, and the dishes are homemade and offered at more than affordable prices. Waste is recycled on site via a composting system.
La Source's menu features seasonal, organic treats. Starters include hummus, lemon confit and zaathar (4€), kasha tabbouleh, pomegranate and fresh herbs (5€) and Breton crab shreds, rocket and lemon (7€). Main courses include coral lentil dahl with coconut milk (8€), croque-Ruben (8€) and trout steak with green beans in Ponzu sauce (13€).
For those with a sweet tooth, the desserts are just as mouth-watering: apple-red berry crumble (4€), vegan chocolate mousse (5€) or chocolate-avocado brownie (5€).
And for brunch lovers, don't miss La Source every Sunday!
Ethical and responsible cuisine that delights the taste buds of young and old alike!
