A century-old restaurant, the Louis XVI, rue des Mathurins, is now resolutely locavore! This beautiful brasserie, recently taken over by Daïna Savesi and Guillaume Clauss-Nasta, has been completely redesigned. The menu is now composed of products essentially sourced in the Ile de France, and gives priority to the short circuit.
Thus, you can taste meats selected by the maestro butcher Hugo Desnoyer, fish of the day by Tom Saveurs, while the vegetables are from Christophe Latour, the natural leavened bread from Thierry Breton and the andouillette handmade in the workshops of Argoat. As for the legumes and seeds, they too come from farms located in the Ile de France, as does the burrata fromOttanta.
The design of the atmosphere gives a new idea of the brasserie, with a refined and warm decor where the philosophy of good eating permeates the room as well as the plates! Each supplier is carefully sourced and each product finds its place at the heart of a seasonal, plural and generous cuisine. Examples of what you will be able to taste? snacked scallops on sweet potato purée and amaranth leaves, tomatoes from Marmandes, organic burrata from Ottanta, and "fruité noir" olive oil, or a delicious lemon cream, with its sumac crumble, a delight!
All the desserts are of course homemade (special mention for the Paris Brest), and the wine list has also been built with experience and respect for the land. There is a nice selection of natural wines, as well as some classic wines, favorites of the house. An address where the service is as smiling as the plates are worked, that we can only recommend!
