If you're already missing the sunny days, here's a tip to make summer last a little longer in your head, heart and mouth: discover the new restaurant at Galeries Lafayette on the Champs-Elysées.
Called Oursin, this new spot was entirely conceived by designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, already behind Café Citron, in the same Galeries.
Nestled on the second floor of Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées, Oursin resembles, in form and design, one of those white houses that glitter along the Mediterranean coast .
Whitewashed walls with niches featuring handcrafted objects collected by Simon Porte Jacquemus, a climbing vine and plates with a nod to the South: the whole Jacquemus universe in a restaurant.
The à la carte menu features dishes and se afood with Mediterranean flavors, imagined by Erica Archambault (ex-Septime) and executed by the Groupe Caviar Kaspia brigade: sea urchin tarama, linguine with clams and Sicilian salsa, red mullet escabeche, turbot cooked on the bone, pasta with summer vegetables or mashed potatoes with camelina oil, garnished with Baeri caviar and whipped cream.
And Anthony Courteille's boulangerie Sain has come up with special breads for these sunny dishes, such as cuttlefish ink and sea urchin tongues.
Shall we take a look?
