Do you knowPépita? It's new and it's a must-see! Behind this restaurant is Saveriu Cacciari, who already runs Chez Minnà in the 10th arrondissement, L'Alivi in the 4th arrondissement, and the latest Alma in the 2nd arrondissement. To carry out this project, Saveriu is not alone since he has chosen to join forces with his partner from Chez Minnà, Thibault Lussignol.
Behindlaterrasse of 50 covers, there is this very beautiful interior space whose sublime decoration was conceived by theagency DOD (Alma, Bouillon Pigalle, Uno, Triplettes, Combat) founded by David-Olivier Descombes. We love the plant ceiling mixed with warm materials and raw and recycled wood. The best part? A 40-cover private space nestled in the basement.
The menu takes us on a journey with exquisite and joyful Mediterranean flavors imagined by the young chef Julien Bonci. To sublimate the recipes, Pépita relies above all on meticulously sourced, traced, natural and organic products as much as possible. A choice that can be felt as soon as you read the starters: Organic Dop Burrata, homemade gazpacho with tapenade and basil, ham with truffles, homemade beef cecina... A piece of advice, let yourself be tempted by the famous and unavoidable Pata Negra 100% bellota, melting as you wish. A pure delight to share or not!
What if we opted for pizzas afterwards? We love the Pépita with its fresh cream, its ham with truffle, its rocket and stracciatella without forgetting the roasted pistachios for the crunchy side. A very nice success, both original and greedy, which seems to have also conquered the taste buds of the other customers that evening.
For the rest, you can choose between the classics of the genre, such as the Margherita, the one with four cheeses (gorgonzola PDO, taleggio PDO, mozzarella fior di latte, smoked scarmozza) or the delicious Parma with its tomato sauce, Parma ham PDO, burrata, parmesan PDO and arugula of course. For the others, discover the Speckita (tomato sauce, mozzarella fior di latte, IGP speck, candied tomatoes and pesto).
But beware, Pepita is not only into pizzas but also into salads with notably the Pepita Bowl (red and white quinoa, bulgur, roasted sweet potato, pomegranate, hummus, Taggiasca olives, white sauce with basil & lemon) or the Caesarita (Romaine salad, crispy chicken, cherry tomatoes, red onions, croutons, parmesan sauce & basil). Finally, while waiting for the menu to become even richer with, for example, pasta dishes and octopus to come, Pépita also makes Focaccia sandwiches; vegetarian, with truffles, or with mortadella... the hardest thing will be to choose!
You have a sweet tooth? Pépita will amaze you with her succulent homemade tiramisu with organic coffee! Airy and greedy, it is a must to finish your meal in beauty. Otherwise, make way for the Panna Cotta with red fruits.
And to accompany all these tasty dishes, Pépita offers a beautiful wine list (especially organic and natural) from all over the Mediterranean, such as the amazing and succulent organic"Nero d'Avola" from Sicily. Also on the menu? Beer, detox"minute" juices and original house cocktails, such as the"Kanela", a clever drink perfectly balanced between cinnamon liqueur, lemon, apple juice and herb syrup.
In short, if you want to treat yourself to a delicious trip to the Mediterranean, look no further than Pépita!
