Wanderlust street food with Alexia Duchêne: this summer’s open-air food court in Paris

Looking for something new? We've got just the thing! From June 22 to September 27, 2020, Wanderlust, located in the 13th arrondissement, is teaming up with young chef Alexia Duchêne to offer Parisians a 100% street-food menu, all on a 1,500 m2 terrace with a breathtaking view of the Seine!

Every summer, there's no shortage of innovative venues in Paris. Although the health crisis and confinement have had an impact, that hasn't stopped some from thinking up a new concept. Take Wanderlust, for example. A famous trendy spot nestled in the 13th arrondissement of the capital, this venue offers you the chance to experience this summer's outdoor food event! From June 22 to September 27, 2020, Wanderlust is transformed into a big, beautiful futuristic open-air table.

To tantalize your taste buds, young chef Alexia Duchêne, who made a notable appearance on season 10 of M6's'Top Chef', will be on hand. Since then, Alexia Duchêne has taken the helm at Datsha Underground, in the 3rd arrondissement. But the Ferrandi-trained chef, formerly second-in-command at Passerini, recently announced her departure from the Parisian restaurant to focus on new projects.

These new projects include a collaboration with the famous Wanderlust. The former'Top Chef' contestant is proposing " a 100% street-food menu, revisiting the essentials of street food, cooked with products sourced from small-scale producers ". It's a gourmet, anti-wasteful and socially responsible program, to be discovered on the 1500 m² terrace, the largest in the capital!

For the occasion, several spaces have been set up with different ambiances: settle down near the Seine in cabanons in complete tranquillity, or prefer the guinguette corner with hanging garlands and wooden tables facing the Seine. In view of the current economic climate, the Wanderlust team has taken every precaution to respect health regulations, notably with a reservation system that also helps to avoid queues and prevent wastage. As for ordering, it's digital and service is direct at the table.

What's on the menu? Some fifteen dishes that invite you to travel, such as roasted cauliflower with curry yoghurt sauce and burnt chive oil, a toasted Cubano sandwich, a falafel pita with herbs, roasted eggplant and tomatoes, a pizza with raw cream, potato, guanciale and rosemary, not forgetting a chicken caesar salad...
