It's not easy for vegetarians and vegans to navigate meal delivery platforms and easily find, without spending hours scrolling, a restaurant that offers 100% vegetarian or vegan dishes. But these days, that's all in the past, as a new meal delivery app has just arrived in Paris, and it's entirely dedicated to these gourmands - and to those who'd like to try thevegan or even vegetarian experience!
Eatic, as it's called, offers veggie and ethical dishes prepared by vegetarian, vegan and committed restaurants. It's the perfect way to eat healthily - without sacrificing your sweet tooth! - and in a way that's more respectful of our beloved planet, while supporting our beloved Parisian restaurateurs!
Bowls, salads, burgers, even pastries and pizzas... more than twenty restaurateurs in Paris and its inner suburbs have already put their trust in Eatic, including Soya, Les Tontons Veg, Aujourd'hui Demain, VG pâtisserie, Boneshaker Doughnuts and Le Faitout. And we're sure that the range will expand even further in the months to come, with the growing popularity of vegetarianism and veganism!
What's more, in order to join Eatic, restaurants and patisseries must meet a number of positive conditions: independent local suppliers or suppliers who pay producers a fair and equitable price and minimize packaging, waste reduction and limiting the use of single-use plastics, recipes that are low in saturated fats and processed ingredients...
Last but not least, delivery by bicycle is available for between €2 and €5 (and free for orders over €35), with the option of click & collect!
For our part, we tested the application in depth. On the downside, it's currently only available in English (at least in part), which may put off some foodies. But we can assure you that it's just as simple as its competitors, Deliveroo and consorts, and intuitively easy to understand where to click and what to do.
For our part, we chose to try out a vegetarian burger restaurant: Les Tontons Veg. The order arrived very quickly - despite being placed at 3pm! - and we loved what we tried, namely an excellent and frankly original burger with homemade kimchi - the famous Korean spicy fermented cabbage that we love - with a spicy gochujang mayo, as well as a gourmet cheeseburger, with a "fake" Beyond Meat steak and runny cheddar. Delightful!
