Looking for a great new restaurant or coffee shop for lunch or brunch, or even a delicious plant-based oat milk latte? Let's check out Petit Crème Montorgeuil at 28 rue Montorgeuil, a stone's throw from the Halles de Châtelet and the famous Nelson Mandela Garden.
On site, you'll discover a pretty, flower-filled restaurant that'll make you want to relax - that is, as soon as the cafés and restaurants reopen.
The spot is open from 8am to 7pm for takeaway. Outside mealtimes, you can enjoy vegan lattes with oat milk and other hot or iced teas. As lunchtime approaches, you'll discover a short, gourmet menu, in the image of coffee shops. Burgers, waffles, avocado toast and salads are all on the menu.
We grab our takeaway menu and head off to picnic in the famous garden in front of theEglise Saint-Eustache.
We set our sights on the ultra-gourmand Avocado brioché which, as its name suggests, is made not with a slice of bread but with a slice of brioche. Extra salmon for us, we're hungry!
We also try the generously garnished Bacon Waffle.
To round off the meal, a nice Ceasar Salad with crispy chicken and we're at the top of our game.
No meal is complete without dessert! Of course, we'll even take desserts on their own! So, to finish on a sweet gourmet note, we go for the waffle version with red fruit jam and the deliciously soft and melting French toast topped with fresh fruit spread, a real treat.
In short, if you're looking for a simple, no-fuss, seasonal and gourmet offering, this is an address that should appeal to you.
Bon appétit!
