A new counter that welcomes you until 2 a.m. and treats you to Argentine street-food specialties, that's a yes! Mesita will soon be opening its doors in the 9th arrondissement, featuring asado, a grilling technique straight fromSouth America!

A veritable institution in Argentina, the art of cooking meat over a flame and charcoal is now coming to the capital, to the delight of gourmands and gourmets alike! The latter are probably familiar with the first address of the team behind Mesita: the Alamesa restaurant in Batignolles. Here, the same Argentinian cuisine is served at the counter!

At Mesita ("petite table" in French), restaurateur Elie Audo perpetuates his traditional technique and transposes it to a short menu featuring South American sandwiches based on the Asado culture. Sitting upright in the small 25m2 stall, you'll discover an Asado sandwich made according to the rules of the art.

Come on, let's give you the recipe? A ciabatta bread with paprika, a colita of Uruguayan beef (a typical South American cut and a pillar of the Asado culture), a chimichurri sauce, jalapenos and roasted provolone cheese! Did you say tempting?

Of course, other Argentinian recipes can also be discovered on the spot, but these are still kept secret, so you'll have to go there to find out!
