As usual, The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2022 has just unveiled its ranking of the world's 50 best restaurants, which over the coming year will become the benchmark for gourmets with the necessary purse to access the tables of these mostly gourmet restaurants.
Once again this year, France has not stolen its title of gastronomic country par excellence, with numerous French and mainly Parisian restaurants rewarded with a place in this ranking so highly esteemed by gourmets the world over.
As a reminder, the ranking - which actually ranges from 1 to 100 - is the collegial choice of 1,080 leading figures in the gastronomy sector - renowned chefs, food journalists and traveling gourmets.
So, have you guessed which three Parisian restaurants will be ranked among the 50 best restaurants in the world in 2022? They are L'Arpège, chef Alain Passard 's three-star restaurant in the capital's 7th arrondissement, in 31st place; Clarence, chef Christophe Pelé 's two-star restaurant nestled in a 19th-century mansion, in 28th place; and Septime, the one-star restaurant on rue de Charonne in the 11th arrondissement, in 22nd place in the World's 50 Best Restaurants 2022 ranking!
