It's Andy at the counter, wearing his de rigueur plaid shirt (Canadian dress code obliges). "It's the best poutine in Paris," he says, and the customers at the tables don't disagree. Among the classics are "the classic" poutine, with its thick fries, gravy and cheese curds, and the must-try"smoked bacon" with smoked bacon caramelized in barn syrup, roasted onions and chives. For vegetarian options, no veal stock, but a lightly spiced vegetable-based sauce, shitake, eggs marinated in soy sauce and cebettes for a veggie option that's just as gourmet.

The Moose is best described by its regulars, who come for every major sporting event to watch the matches on one of the bar's 14 TVs and celebrate the goals with a round of shots, as they did for the France-Argentina final a few weeks ago. On the menu, the watchword is authenticity. In the kitchen, we keep things simple but effective, fast and always delicious. You'll come to enjoy traditional North American homemade cuisine during your lunch break, to try the generous burgers with friends, or to take a look at the poutine menu.

Chorizo, chicken, pulled pork, barbecue... This is the restaurant's specialty, with more than a dozen to choose from and prices ranging from €12.5 to €17. Otherwise, the kitchen also serves finger food, to nibble on between two halves, and hot dishes, such as the chef's curry, Angus beef flank steak... Also on the menu is a wide choice of beer - third half obliges - with IPAs, ambers, blondes, browns... which the waiter will be delighted to advise you on.

If you've still got room for dessert, the menu is sure to satisfy with gourmet options: a lukewarm pecan pie with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream, an American-style brownie, and other homemade sweets. The Moose is truly the bar/restaurant where we recommend you come to watch the Superbowl games (which start very soon) over a pint accompanied by one of the best poutines in Paris.
