Creative 100% vegetarian street food? This is the experience offered by Mannie, a gourmet restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. This nugget in Paris's 1st arrondissement offers a range of culinary delights and surprising discoveries.

In the heart of Paris's 1st arrondissement, an affordable, gourmet nugget awaits strollers and gourmets alike. Tucked away on rue de la Coquillère, Mannie is a good address that has the not-so-bad habit of blowing clichés out of the water. In a neighborhood that plunges us into the heart of the Paris of film noir, into the quintessence of luxury and elegance, this restaurant democratizes fine dining and offers Parisians of today and tomorrow a gourmet stopover at affordable prices and in complete conviviality. Its 100% vegetarian menu awakens appetites beyond the question of diet, playing on the "péchés mignons" that tantalize gourmands, while relying on creativity that arouses curiosity.

At Mannie's, we apply the good manners of responsible catering: dishes concocted using seasonal produce from short distribution channels. The rest is no fuss: street food for every appetite, from gourmet bowls to comforting burgers, with sides for every taste and finger-licking finger food. Whether you're a fan of (very) spicy flavors, a sweet and savory aficionado or a cheese lover, here you'll findinspiring recipes that prove, if proof were needed, that veggie cooking doesn't have to be boring.

The quality of the products must speak for itself, or risk seeing the appetite aroused by reading the menu fall like a soufflé upon tasting. Fortunately, there's something to be said for being local, and you'll have the pleasure of tasting fresh, juicy vegetables full of flavor, as was the case with themiso roasted eggplant, with its melting, sweet flesh. The dish is served on a spicy mashed potato and chickpea base, a comforting alternative to hummus. It was accompanied by a cherry tomato marmalade with balsamic vinegar that awakens the taste buds, topped with crunchy hazelnuts.

Nor is there a dull moment on the side dishes, notably the well-balanced halloumi fries, the cheese softened by a honey-mise sauce, and the zucchini acras, gourmet vegetable fritters. For dessert, we stick to the classics that often hit the spot: cookie and carrot cake.

In order to respect the seasonal nature of the produce, the menu is constantly evolving, and recipes are adapted accordingly. And while Mannie's offers vegetarian street food, it doesn't take the form of "dupes" of adapted classics, but rather specialty cuisine, enlivened by diverse influences. You don't have to be veg to love it. We also appreciate the value for money offered in this tourist area, not far from the Louvre Museum, the Comédie Française and the Palais-Royal. Be careful with the burgers, though: we strongly recommend you take a side with them, as they're served unaccompanied.
