Located in central Paris, at 1 rue des Jeuneurs in the 2nd arrondissement , Boni's offers New York-style pizza by the slice! This new American-style street-food spot, created by three brothers in 2024, is open for lunch and dinner, except on weekends. Let's discover it together.
At Boni's, there are hardly any seats! Their pizza by the slice can be taken away or enjoyed standing up on the small raised tables in front of the restaurant. In a sleek, New York-style setting, you can choose from four pizzas, or make your own and add a selection of toppings.
The four recipes include the iconic New York Spicy Peperroni, a classic Margherita, a Veggie and the Truffle Mushrooms. A victim of its own success, the Spicy Peperroni was sold out the day we visited Boni's, but a very good alternative to the spicy salami was on offer.
The New York-style slice pizza is made with a very thin, crispy dough, and the slices are quite large compared to an Italian pizza. Boni's has kept its promise, as the dough is very well cooked and crispy! Boni's uses French and Italian products, along with French know-how to create their four recipes.
For vegetarians, the Veggie, topped with arugula, cherry tomatoes and parmesan, has a good balance of flavors and is quite hearty. You can also create your own vegetarian pizza, adding toppings such as straciatella, pesto or their "hot honey".
For meat lovers, the Spicy Peperroni should be well worth a try, although we weren't able to sample the original. We did, however, really like the version we were offered, which was a little less spicy than the original. At Boni's, you can actually eat your pizza standing up without getting it all over you, as the dough is crispy enough that all the food doesn't fall off the pizza.
We also tasted a Margherita on which we added Parma ham. The excellent taste of the ham confirmed the importance of product quality at Boni's. Finally, we tried a Reine with ham and mushrooms, as Boni's was also sold out of Truffle mushrooms at lunchtime. A word of advice: come early!
In terms of quantity, two slices of pizza are enough for an average hunger; for a bigger hunger, a third slice or a dessert can be added. Boni's offers the Boni's formula with two slices of pizza and a drink for €12, or the Big Boni's for €14.9 with two slices of pizza, a drink and a dessert.
You can, of course, order individual pizzas for between €4.5 and €6 a slice, with toppings ranging from 50cts to €2. Would you like to share it with your friends or colleagues? You can also order a whole pizza (between 30€ and 45€), to be shared by 3 or 4 people.
We finished the meal with a little sweet touch that's well worth the detour for chocolate lovers: the Nutella Calzone. Topped with crunchy hazelnuts, it's the perfect finishing touch to your meal and adds a gourmet touch to your lunch or dinner.
If you're in the mood for a good New York-style pizza by the slice, without getting it all over your face, Boni's awaits you at 1 rue des Jeuneurs in Paris's 2nd arrondissement.
