La Cité des Bébés, HQ for toddlers at the Cité des Sciences: discover the new space

These few years of closure, followed by the opening of the Cité des Bébés Lab (enabling experimentation with a wide range of concepts), were an opportunity to modernize, update and offer a new Cité des Bébés within the Cité des Sciences, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Designed as a nest, a secure place where babies can evolve in complete safety, the space is intended for toddlers aged from just a few weeks to 23 months, accompanied by an adult.

Here, the focus is onawakening babies, with a place to touch and play, a cocoon for toddlers to gently discover the world around them. Before exploring the Cité des enfants, designed for older children aged 2 to 12, with its water and construction games and its many educational areas, the Cité des Bébés welcomes smaller children and focuses on well-being and the cognitive and sensory-motor development of toddlers within 250 m² of space.

After depositing your belongings in the lockers provided and leaving your stroller in the stroller parking area, you can enter (without shoes or telephone only!) thesensory area. Here, you'll find a number of devices designed to help your baby discover the different areas on his or her own. Breastfeeding cushions and armchairs also allow you to breastfeed your baby on the spot.

So, from December 17, 2024, little ones will be able to discover a brand-new Cité des Bébés! Admission is€4.50 per adult, €2 for a second adult, and babies are admitted free. An outing at a mini price, all the more so as four half-days a week are free for all, as part of a study of the public at the time of opening.
