With a route of around 187km, RER C is the second longest line in the RER network(Réseau Express Régional d'Île-de-France). Introduced into service in 1979, RER C serves no fewer than 84 stops, crossing several departments of the Paris region: Yvelines,Essonne, Val-de-Marne, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val d'Oise and, of course, Paris. In the City of Light, the RER C runs through several key arrondissements at around ten stations. The Paris section includes stations close to the Musée d'Orsay, the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides and the Musée du Quai Branly in the 7th arrondissement, as well as Quartier Latin in Saint-Michel, and provides easy access to Gare d'Austerlitz.
