Line 10 of the Paris metro went into service in 1923. From Gare d'Austerlitz, in the 13th arrondissement, it crosses south-western Paris to its terminus at Boulogne - Pont de Saint-Cloud, straddling the towns of Boulogne-Billancourt and Saint-Cloud, both in theHauts-de-Seine (92) department of . Line 10 of the RATP network is 11.7km long, serving 23 stops (plus a ghost station) and passing through the 5th, 6th, 7th, 15th and 16th arrondissements on its Paris section.

One of the most striking stations along this line is Cluny - La Sorbonne. The vault features a mosaic entitled Les Oiseaux, by French painter Jean Bazaine, as well as reproductions of the signatures of Racine, Victor Hugo, Molière and Arthur Rimbaud, illustrious students of La Sorbonne, the famous Parisian university served by this station.

This stop is also close to the Musée de Cluny, dedicated to the Middle Ages. Other Left Bank landmarks that line 10 takes you to include the Jardin des Plantes near Gare d'Austerlitz, theInstitut du Monde Arabe near Jussieu, the Latin Quarter near Odéon, the Bon Marché department store at Sèvres-Babylone and the Parc André Citroën at Javel-André Citroën.
