Fête Nationale in Chelles (77): Grand bal populaire on July 13, 2024

To celebrate the Fête nationale in style, Chelles town council invites you to the Stade Pierre Duport on Saturday July 13, 2024. As you'll have gathered, the festivities in this Seine-et-Marne town don't take place on the big day, but rather the evening before, so don't be mistaken!

Chelles has a long and fascinating history. It has been home to such historic figures as Clovis, King of the Franks, and Clotilde, his widow, who founded a women's monastery in Chelles. The town was also the birthplace of Clotaire III and was visited by Charlemagne. The architects of Notre-Dame de Paris, Jehan de Chelles and Pierre de Chelles, were originally from this town. Many artists and cultural personalities, including Mistinguett and Maurice Chevalier, have also lived in Chelles.

This year, for the Fête nationale 2024, no fireworks organized in Chelles. But dry your tears! The municipality is still organizing a grand bal populaire from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., for all ages from 7 to 77! Admission is free, so don't miss this opportunity to celebrate with family and friends!
