ForEpiphany 2023, MaisonStohrer offers us a traditional 2023 galette des Rois, in keeping with the spirit of the oldest pastry shop in Paris. A generous frangipane galette, made according to the rules of the art, with the good taste of frangipane.
The galette des rois is very rich in almonds, and when we say rich in almonds, it's because the house adds a blanched almond paste to its frangipane, and a touch of amber rum. The galette is thin enough not to be sickening, and the puff pastry is just the right amount of caramelized to stick to your teeth, a byword for great indulgence in our childhood!
As a result, this galette des Rois is a real Proust's madeleine for everyone. One bite and we're all transported back to our childhood... it's enough to make chefs blush, as they offer galettes in all flavors! Prices start at 30€ for a galette for 4 people, 44€ for 6 to 8 people and 56€ for a galette for 8 to 10 people.
