The Musée des Transports Urbains, located in Chelles, is opening its doors to visitors free of charge, on the occasion of the Journées du Patrimoine, on September 21 and 22, 2024. Come and discover over 70 transport vehicles dating from 1863 to the present day.

Horse-drawn omnibuses, buses, streetcars, trolleybuses... Lovers of public transport and vehicles of yesteryear can discover all these machines at the Musée des Transports Urbains, in Chelles, Seine-et-Marne. To mark the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) on September 21 and 22, 2024, the museum is opening its doors to all visitors, free of charge.

Founded in 1957 by the Association pour le Musée des Transports Urbains, Interurbains et Ruraux (AMTUIR), the museum boasts a fascinating collection of life-size vehicles, scale models, models, photographs, books and illustrations, audiovisual documents, transport-related objects... The museum's jewels include Paris metro cars, omnibuses, steam streetcars... Enough to take us back in time!
