Come the weekend, many Parisians and Ile-de-France residents take the opportunity to clear their minds and discover new exhibitions, great walks andimmersive experiences. But public transport has to work properly.
Unfortunately, for users of the RER B, the situation will not be easy at the end of September. Due to planned work on the RER C, involving work on RER line B, traffic will be partially interrupted on this famous RER line, more precisely between the Fontaine-Michalon and Massy-Palaiseau stations , in both directions and for an entire day. In detail, the closure will take place on Saturday September 30, 2023.
In concrete terms, RER B trains will not stop at Les Baconnets and Massy-Verrières stations. As a result, Fontaine-Michalon station will become the temporary terminus for commuters from Paris. Conversely, Massy-Palaiseau station will be the temporary terminus for passengers arriving from Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse.
RATP specifies that replacement buses will be provided between Fontaine-Michalon and Massy-Palaiseau stations. These will run in both directions throughout the day on September 30, 2023. Another option? Bus 119 between Les Baconnets and Massy-Palaiseau stations. Alternatively, you can board the RER C at Massy-Palaiseau station.
