Throughout the year, RATP and SNCF undertake renovation and refurbishment work, resulting in total or partial disruption to traffic. Find out about this week's upcoming disruptions to metro, RER, train and streetcar lines in Paris and the Île-de-France region.
Ile-de-France public transport users are used to it. Every year, they have to adapt to the many works and disruptions on the metro and RER. Line extensions, switch renewal, track maintenance or platform refurbishment... the reasons for this work are numerous and not without consequences for passengers.
RATP and SNCF regularly announce total or partial traffic disruptions on certain metro and RER lines, with stations closed and unserved, or even the introduction of temporary terminuses. Here's a summary of this week's disruptions.
Metro :
- Line 6: On Sunday December 8, all day long, traffic will be interrupted between Charles de Gaulle - Etoile and Trocadéro stations.
- Line 12: Due to modernization work, traffic will be interrupted on all of metro line 12 on Sundays, December 8 and 15, 2024, from 10pm until the end of service.
- Line 14: traffic will be interrupted until December 19, 2024: every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening, from 10pm.
RER :
RERC C :
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 11:40 pm, traffic will be interrupted between Javel and Saint-Quentin en Yvelines (works).
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 11pm, traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Pont de Rungis (works). From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 11.10pm, traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Juvisy (works).
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 11:40 pm, traffic will be interrupted between Versailles Château Rive Gauche and Javel (works).
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 11.40pm, traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Dourdan / Saint-Martin d'Étampes (work).
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 11:40 pm, traffic will be interrupted between Av Henri Martin and Montigny Beauchamp / Pontoise (works).
- On Sunday December 8, from 11:50 pm, traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Dourdan / Saint-Martin d'Étampes (works).
- On Saturday December 7th from 11pm, traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Juvisy (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, traffic will be interrupted between Pont de Rungis and Massy Palaiseau (works).
- From December 7 to December 8, traffic will be interrupted between Pont de Rungis and Massy Palaiseau (works).
- On Saturday December 7th, from 11pm, traffic will be interrupted from Les Invalides to Saint Quentin en Yvelines (works).

RER D :
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 10:30pm, traffic is interrupted between Gare de Lyon and Melun, and between Gare de Lyon and Corbeil-Essonnes (work).
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 8:30pm, traffic is interrupted between Gare de Lyon and Melun (works).
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 11:20pm, traffic is interrupted between Gare du Nord and Creil (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, from 10.10pm, traffic will be interrupted between Melun and Juvisy, and between Malesherbes and Juvisy (works).

RER E :
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 10:30pm, traffic will be interrupted between Haussmann - Saint-Lazare and Chelles - Gournay (work).
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 10:30pm, traffic is interrupted between Haussmann - Saint-Lazare and Tournan (works).
- On Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December, from 10.30pm, traffic will be interrupted between Haussmann - Saint-Lazare and Tournan (works).

- Line N: Until December 17, every day from 11:45pm, traffic is interrupted between Gare Montparnasse and Versailles Chantiers towards Dreux, Mantes-la-Jolie and Rambouillet (works).

- From 4.30pm on Saturday 7th to Sunday 8th December, traffic will be interrupted between Épône - Mézières and Mantes-la-Jolie towards Mantes-la-Jolie and Gare Montparnasse (work).

Tramway
T1:
- Until Monday March 31, 2025, traffic is interrupted between Gare de Noisy-le-Sec and Escadrille Normandie-Niémen (works). Replacement buses will be provided. Replacement buses will be provided.
- Until January 28, 2025, the stop is not served at Hôtel de Ville de la Courneuve (works).
T4 :
- From Monday December 2 to Friday December 6, from 9:15pm, traffic will be interrupted on the entire line (works).
- From Tuesday December 3 to Saturday December 7, until 5 a.m., traffic will be interrupted between Bondy and Aulnay-sous-Bois in both directions (work). Replacement buses will be provided.
- For those experiencing transport problems this week, please note that improvements should be felt from December 15, 2024 on RER C and Transilien lines N and U.
In all cases, users will have to find alternative solutions and routes, using other lines or other means of transport such as the bus or tramway. Throughout these works and closures, RATP and SNCF are also regularly providing replacement buses.
